This year, Sharad Purnima, also known as Kojagiri and Ras Purnima, will be observed on October 16th, 2024. The festival holds great significance in Hindu religious texts. During Sharad Purnima, the moon is at its closest point to Earth, illuminating the night with all its 16 phases. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival falls on the fourteenth day of the bright half of the Ashwin month.
