Tue Oct 15 00:24:22 UTC 2024: ## Germany Clinch Nations League Qualification with Debutant Leweling’s Winner

**Munich, Germany** – Germany secured their place in the next round of the UEFA Nations League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Netherlands on Monday, thanks to a stunning goal from debutant Jamie Leweling.

The 23-year-old Stuttgart forward had a dream start to his international career, scoring in the second minute, only to see the goal disallowed for offside. He then sealed the victory in the 64th minute, unleashing a powerful shot into the top corner after the Dutch failed to clear a corner.

The match saw Germany dominate possession and create numerous chances, with Tim Kleindienst, Maximilian Mittelstädt, and Serge Gnabry all coming close to scoring. The Dutch, missing suspended captain Virgil van Dijk, struggled to find a foothold in the game and failed to register a single shot on target in the first half.

The visitors improved after the break, creating a handful of late chances through Xavi Simons and Donyell Malen, but Germany held on for the win.

“We won as a team,” said Leweling after the match. “I scored, but we played a good game and I am happy to have helped.”

The victory cemented Germany’s place at the top of Group A3 with 10 points from four games. They are guaranteed a spot in the next round, with the Netherlands trailing by five points in second place.
