**Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh:** In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl drugged her family with sleeping pills laced in parathas before escaping with her lover, taking cash and jewellery.
The incident occurred in the Gola Ka Mandir police station area. The girl’s family, unaware of her affair with a local youth, had even arranged her engagement to prevent the relationship. Despite this, she managed to escape on Saturday night.
The girl prepared parathas for her family and secretly mixed sleeping pills into them. Once they fell asleep, she fled with her lover, Mohar Singh, taking the family’s valuables.
The family woke up on Sunday morning to find their daughter missing and discovered that cash and jewellery were also gone. They immediately reported the incident to the police.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. The girl’s mother has filed a complaint, and Gola Ka Mandir police station’s TI Harinder Sharma confirmed the case registration and ongoing investigation.
