The Sick New World festival has unveiled a jaw-dropping lineup for 2025, featuring a mix of heavy metal legends, nu-metal heavyweights, and surprising reunions.
The festival, known for its nü-leaning focus in the past, has shaken things up with the addition of metal titans **Metallica**, marking a significant departure from their usual programming. Joining them are **Linkin Park**, a welcome return for fans of the nu-metal scene.
Other notable acts on the bill include **Queens Of The Stone Age**, **Evanescence**, **Ministry**, and **Refused**, all of whom are continuing their farewell tours. For fans of post-hardcore, **Glassjaw** is making their long-awaited return to the stage. Completing the metal contingent is **Cannibal Corpse**.
The festival’s biggest surprise, however, is the reunion of legendary sludge metal band **Acid Bath**, a prospect that seemed impossible after the passing of original vocalist and bassist Audie Pitre in 1997. While details remain scarce, fans are eager to learn more about this highly anticipated reunion.
Adding to the excitement, **Tomahawk** is also slated to perform for the first time since 2013, and Japanese visual kei band **Dir En Grey** will be returning to the US.
