Tue Oct 15 00:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Reggae Boyz Aim for Semi-Final Berth with Home Win Against Honduras
**KINGSTON, JAMAICA** – Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz are set to face Honduras in a crucial Concacaf Nations League Group B clash tonight at the National Stadium, with a victory securing their place in the semi-finals.
Coach Steve McClaren has called on his team to finish the job, emphasizing the importance of a win against their Central American rivals. “We started with a disappointing draw, but we’ve put ourselves in a position to finish top of the group,” he stated. “We need to win the game, and for me, that is most important.”
McClaren has also urged Jamaican fans to fill the stadium and create a home advantage that can boost the team’s performance. “We need the fans,” he said. “They give us that extra 10, 20 per cent to deliver the result. The worst thing in COVID was no fans, it killed the game. Fans came back, it reignited the game, and that is what we want the supporters to do.”
McClaren is looking to key players like Demarai Gray and Tyreek Magee to deliver the crucial victory. “I am looking for the same quality from (Gray) that we saw in the past,” he said. “He’s a specialist player, and they win you football matches.”
The coach is confident that he will have a full squad to choose from despite some players nursing minor injuries. “The medical team has done a great job. We should have a full squad,” he concluded.
The match kicks off at 8 p.m. local time.
