**DUBLIN, IRELAND -** England’s veteran batter Tammy Beaumont has been awarded the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2024, following a string of impressive performances during England’s tour of Ireland. The 33-year-old outshined fellow nominees Aimee Maguire (Ireland) and Esha Oza (UAE), securing the award for the second time in her career.
Beaumont was instrumental in England’s success in both the ODI and T20I series. She racked up 212 runs at an average of 106 in the ODI series, including a spectacular 150-run innings in the second match that secured her the Player of the Match award and helped England win the series 2-1. Beaumont also contributed 67 runs in two innings in the subsequent T20I series.
“Thank you to everyone who voted for me,” Beaumont said. “It was a great tour in Ireland with an inexperienced England team, and it was really nice to contribute personally.”
Beaumont has consistently been a key player for England since her debut in 2009. Her ODI career boasts an impressive 4,094 runs at an average of 40.94, including 10 centuries and 21 half-centuries. She has also amassed 1,859 runs in T20 internationals, with a century and 10 half-centuries to her name.
This latest accolade further solidifies Beaumont’s status as one of England’s most influential cricketers and reaffirms her enduring impact on women’s cricket.
