Tue Oct 15 06:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Heartstopper Star Joe Locke Reveals His “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” Identity as Wiccan

**LOS ANGELES -** After two years of secrecy, Joe Locke, best known for his role in the Netflix series “Heartstopper,” has finally revealed his true identity in Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos.”

Locke, who plays the mysterious character “Teen” opposite Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, is actually Billy, the grown-up son of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). This revelation came in the final moments of the fifth episode, “Darkest Hour/Wake Thy Power,” as Billy unveiled his magical abilities, sending Agatha and other witches into a pit of sinking mud. The scene culminated with Locke, now wearing a blue Scarlet Witch-esque crown, looking directly at the camera – a moment Locke calls “perfect.”

This marks a significant milestone for Marvel, introducing the first prominent LGBTQ+ character in the cinematic universe.

Locke was heavily involved in crafting the character’s journey with showrunner Jac Schaeffer. He describes how Billy, initially appearing as a secondary character, now holds a central position as the most powerful witch on the “Witches’ Road,” with the potential to change the dynamic of the group.

The upcoming episodes will delve deeper into Billy’s motivations, revealing his backstory and the events leading to his arrival on the “Witches’ Road.” A newly released midseason trailer suggests a connection to WandaVision, showcasing a younger Billy Kaplan in a car crash during the events of the series.

Locke emphasized that while he wasn’t familiar with the comic book version of Billy Kaplan, he has been collaborating with Marvel to ensure the portrayal remains faithful to the character’s spirit.

He also shared his hope for Billy’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressing a desire to see him become a prominent figure in the upcoming Young Avengers.

“I had the most amazing experience filming on Agatha and being a part of the Marvel family and would love to do that until the day I die,” Locke said. “But who knows? I don’t. I’m sure someone does.”
