Tue Oct 15 10:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Actor Bala Arrested for Allegedly Harassing Ex-Wife and Daughter
**Kochi, October 14, 2024:** Actor Bala was arrested by the Kadavanthra police in Kochi early this morning for allegedly harassing his former wife and daughter through social media.
Bala was taken into custody following a complaint filed by his ex-wife, accusing him of defamation, insulting women, and cruelty towards children.
The police have registered a case against him under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 406 (criminal breach of trust), and 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
Bala, however, maintains his innocence, claiming he has not spoken out against his ex-wife and daughter for three weeks. He believes someone else is behind the accusations and is using the situation to target his family.
“I haven’t said anything for three weeks. I kept my word. I don’t know why I’m being arrested. Everyone knows why this is happening. Someone is playing games. They’re trying to drag my family through the mud,” Bala stated while being taken for a medical examination.
Bala’s accusations come in the wake of several social media posts by him and his ex-wife regarding their ongoing family dispute. These posts included comments by Bala about his daughter, which the police are currently investigating.
Both Bala and his ex-wife’s legal representatives have arrived at the police station.
