**Ranchi, October 15, 2024:** The Election Commission of India (ECI) today announced the schedule for the Jharkhand Assembly elections, with voting slated for November 13th and 20th, and the results to be declared on November 23rd. This announcement comes following the recent Lok Sabha elections, making the Jharkhand polls significant in shaping the country’s political landscape.
The state will witness a two-phase election, with the first phase covering 13 constituencies on November 13th, followed by the second phase on November 20th, covering the remaining seats. The model code of conduct has come into effect immediately.
The ECI has set the following deadlines for filing nominations: October 25th for the first phase and October 29th for the second phase. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on October 28th and 30th respectively. Candidates can withdraw their nominations until October 30th for the first phase and November 1st for the second phase.
