Tue Oct 15 12:46:06 UTC 2024: ## Chhattisgarh CM Appointed As Congress Supervisor for Maharashtra Elections

**Raipur, October 15:** Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has been appointed as the Congress supervisor for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Baghel, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stated that the people of Maharashtra had chosen the Mahavikas Aghadi government in the previous election but the victory was “stolen.”

Reacting to Baghel’s statement, Chhattisgarh Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary took a swipe at the Congress leader on X, stating that he hopes Baghel will “work wonders” in the Vidarbha region, mirroring the Congress’s performance in Assam, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.

The appointment of Baghel as the supervisor comes as the Congress gears up for a crucial battle in Maharashtra. The party will be looking to regain its foothold in the state after its alliance government collapsed in 2022.
