**Mumbai, India:** Police have identified the fourth suspect in the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, revealing a link to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The suspect, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, hails from Jalandhar, Punjab, and was allegedly the handler for the three shooters who killed Siddique.

Akhtar was arrested in 2022 for crimes involving organized crime, murder, and robbery, and spent time in Patiala jail where he connected with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Sources claim he received instructions to kill Siddique during his time in prison. After his release in June, he met with one of the shooters, Gurmel Singh, in Kaithal before the trio traveled to Mumbai to carry out the murder.

Akhtar provided crucial support to the shooters, including logistical help like renting a room, and providing real-time updates on Siddique’s location during the attack. He is currently on the run and hiding in Mumbai. Multiple police teams are actively searching for him.

The other two shooters, including a minor, have been apprehended. The third shooter, Shiv Kumar, remains at large.

The investigation continues with police focusing on the connection between Akhtar and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, highlighting the potential involvement of organized crime in the murder.
