**COLOMBO, SRI LANKA** – The West Indies secured a thrilling four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the first T20I of the series, chasing down a target of 180 with just one ball to spare.
Sri Lanka, batting first, were led by Charith Asalanka’s impressive 59 off 35 balls and Kamindu Mendis’s 51 off 40. However, wickets fell regularly, and they were eventually bowled out for 179 in 20 overs. Romario Shepherd was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, taking 4-39.
