
Mon Oct 14 14:22:53 UTC 2024: ## RSMSSB CET Senior Secondary Level Exam 2024: 18 Lakh Candidates to Appear, Shirt Sleeves No Longer Cut
**श्रीगंगानगर (सच कहूँ न्यूज):** The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) Jaipur is all set to conduct the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Senior Secondary level from 22nd to 24th October 2024. The exam will be held in two shifts daily across the state. A major focus is on ensuring that most candidates get test centres in their home districts.
The CET, for which over 18 lakh candidates have registered, will determine eligibility for 12 different services and categories. The exam, held in two shifts, will be conducted in 6 stages, with the first shift from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the second shift from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
**The 12 services and categories covered by the CET are:**
1. Rajasthan Forest Subordinate Service – Forest Guard
2. Rajasthan Minority Affairs Subordinate Service – Hostel Superintendent
3. Rajasthan Secretariat Clerical Service – Clerk Grade II
4. Rajasthan Subordinate Office Clerical Service – Junior Assistant
5. RPSC Clerical Service – Clerk Grade II
6. Rajasthan Excise Subordinate Service (Preventive Branch) – Jamadar Grade II
7. Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service – Constable
8. Rajasthan Panchayati Raj – Junior Assistant
9. Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board (Service) – Junior Assistant
10. Rajasthan Agricultural Produce Market (Mandi Samiti Employee) Service – Junior Assistant
11. Secondary Education Board, Rajasthan Employees (Amendment) – Clerk Grade II
12. Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board Employee Service – Junior Assistant
The detailed syllabus and guidelines for the exam have already been released by the board. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks to qualify, while SC/ST candidates will be given a 5% concession.
Following controversy over candidates’ shirts being cut at previous exams, the Board has decided to allow candidates to wear plain buttoned shirts with no metal accessories.
The CET for Senior Secondary Level will cover 150 questions, each carrying 2 marks with no negative marking. The paper will cover Rajasthan history, art, culture, literature, tradition, and heritage, Indian and Rajasthan geography, Indian political system with a focus on Rajasthan, Rajasthan economy, general science, logical reasoning and mental ability, general Hindi and English, computer knowledge, and current events.
Candidates will have a total of 3 hours and 10 minutes to attempt the exam. The qualifying score will be valid for one year.
