Tampa Bay is slowly recovering from Hurricane Milton, which made landfall in Siesta Key last Wednesday evening. While many residents remain without power, TECO President and CEO Archie Collins has assured the public that power will be restored to all customers by Thursday or sooner.
Lineworkers from across the country are working tirelessly to repair downed lines and restore electricity. As of Monday morning, over 191,000 customers in the Tampa Bay area are still experiencing outages, with smaller numbers in other affected areas.
TECO has provided a detailed breakdown of affected areas and the number of customers impacted on their website.
FOX 13 interviewed Collins on Sunday afternoon, where he addressed concerns about the restoration process and provided updates on the progress made.
While the road to full recovery is ongoing, residents can be assured that power will be restored as quickly as possible.
