**SEOUL, South Korea (AP)** – North Korea is threatening to destroy parts of inter-Korean roads, escalating tensions with South Korea amid accusations of drone flights.
South Korea’s military observed preparations for the demolitions, including the installation of screens along the roads. Spokesperson Lee Sung Joon said the destruction could happen as early as Monday.
This move comes as North Korea continues to condemn South Korea for alleged drone flights over its territory, calling them “confrontational hysteria” and vowing to respond with force. North Korea’s Defense Ministry said they are prepared to “open fire” and turn South Korean territory “into piles of ashes.”
