Sun Oct 13 22:24:49 UTC 2024: ## Julius Randle Could Make Timberwolves Debut Next Week

**MINNEAPOLIS, MN -** Just over a week after being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, forward Julius Randle is nearing a return to the court. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Randle is expected to make his debut for the Wolves sometime next week as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury.

Randle originally dislocated his shoulder in January while playing for the New York Knicks. He attempted to rehab the injury and return before the end of the season, but ultimately underwent season-ending surgery in April.

The Knicks subsequently traded Randle to Minnesota in a three-team deal that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to New York. Randle’s arrival reunites him with Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch, who previously coached Randle during his time with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Timberwolves have three remaining preseason games, with Randle unlikely to play in their matchup against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. He could potentially see action in their remaining games against the Chicago Bulls (Oct. 16) and Denver Nuggets (Oct. 17).

The Timberwolves are likely hoping to give Randle some game action before the regular season begins, allowing him to shake off any rust after a lengthy absence. Minnesota opens the season with back-to-back road games, starting on October 22nd against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Last season with the Knicks, Randle averaged 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game in 46 starts. His return to the court will be eagerly awaited by Timberwolves fans as the team aims to contend for a playoff spot in the competitive Western Conference.
