Mon Oct 14 11:15:11 UTC 2024: ## Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility for Former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique’s Murder, Targeting Salman Khan
**Mumbai, India** – The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, issuing a direct threat to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. According to reports, a Facebook post by alleged Bishnoi aide Shubu Lonkar linked Siddique’s death to the suicide of Anuj Thapan, who was in custody for firing shots outside Salman’s residence in April.
The post states that the gang had no personal animosity towards Siddique, but his ties to the Dawood gang and involvement in property dealings were the reason for the killing. The post also warned that anyone who aids Salman Khan or the Dawood gang should be prepared for retaliation.
While police have yet to authenticate the post, they have arrested Pravin Lonkar, Shubham’s brother and alleged co-conspirator in the murder. Two alleged shooters, Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap and Gurmail Baljit Singh, have also been apprehended, while another shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, remains at large.
Siddique, a prominent NCP leader, was shot dead by three assailants outside his son’s office in Bandra on Saturday night. Salman Khan, a close friend of Siddique, was among those who visited his family at the hospital and paid homage to him at his residence on Sunday.
Salman Khan has been the target of threats from the Bishnoi gang for some time, allegedly due to his involvement in the 1998 Blackbuck shooting case. In March 2023, the Mumbai Police registered a case against Bishnoi and Goldy Brar after an email threatening Salman was received at his office.
This latest incident highlights the escalating tensions between the Bishnoi gang and Salman Khan, raising concerns about the safety of the actor and potential further violence. The Mumbai Police are continuing their investigation to apprehend the remaining suspects and dismantle the criminal network behind this murder.
