**Mysuru:** Vijayalakshmi, wife of actor Darshan, who is currently incarcerated in Ballari jail for the alleged murder of Renukaswamy, visited Chamundi Hill temple in Mysuru yesterday evening. Accompanied by actor Dhanveer, she offered prayers for her husband’s release, whose bail plea is currently being heard in a Bengaluru court.
Darshan’s legal team, led by senior advocate C.V. Nagesh, has argued for two days in favor of granting bail, claiming that he was arrested on the basis of tampered evidence and falsely implicated. They assert that there is no substantial evidence to prove his involvement in the murder.
However, Special Public Prosecutor Prasanna Kumar, representing the investigating police, presented a detailed argument yesterday, outlining Darshan’s alleged role in the murder. The hearing remains inconclusive and will continue today.
Vijayalakshmi’s visit to the temple reflects her fervent hope for Darshan’s release, seeking the blessings of the Goddess Chamundeshwari.
