Chandigarh: The Punjab government has declared a holiday on October 15th in observance of the Panchayat elections scheduled for the day. All government offices, schools, colleges, and other government institutions will remain closed.
This decision comes after the Punjab Police had earlier canceled leaves for government employees ahead of the elections. However, the government has now announced the closure of all government offices except the Police Department.
