**New Delhi:** RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed concern over the growing influence of distorted values on India’s youth during his Vijayadashmi address on Saturday. He specifically highlighted the impact of modern technology and media, particularly mobile phones and OTT platforms, on children.
Bhagwat criticized the lack of regulation on OTT content, stating that it exposes children to inappropriate material. He called for legal oversight on advertisements and media to safeguard the moral fabric of society. “The content is so disgusting that even mentioning it would be a violation of decency,” he stated, highlighting the urgent need for legal monitoring.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared Bhagwat’s address on X, congratulating the RSS on reaching its centenary year. Modi praised the organization’s dedication to the nation, stating that its resolve and dedication will inspire every generation.
Bhagwat also noted the country’s strengthened position on the global stage in recent years, but warned of external threats and sinister conspiracies aimed at destabilizing India. He emphasized the importance of environmental conservation, civic discipline, and restraint in speech and actions, outlining the RSS’s focus for its centenary year.
The RSS, founded in 1925, is celebrating 100 years of its existence, a milestone Bhagwat described as significant for both the organization and India.
