Sat Oct 12 19:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Polónia Laments Missed Opportunities in 1-3 Loss to Portugal

**Warsaw, Poland** – Despite a strong start, Poland fell to a 1-3 defeat against Portugal in their final UEFA Nations League group stage match. Coach Michal Probierz highlighted the missed opportunities in the early stages of the game as a key factor in the loss.

“We started well and created chances. Against a team like Portugal, you have to capitalize on those moments,” said Probierz. “We then dropped back and were very passive in the second line. We conceded a goal very easily, and we can’t afford to do that. The second goal was a result of not stopping the play. It’s a lesson learned, but a step in building this team.”

Probierz praised his team’s attacking intent and the positive changes made to the squad during the Nations League. He also expressed his satisfaction with the performances of some new players.

“We pressed high and took risks. We know where we want to go. We played offensively, and we’ll continue to do so. There are many positives. This is a good sign for the upcoming match against Croatia,” he concluded.

Poland will now look to bounce back in their upcoming international fixtures.
