**Hyderabad, October 13, 2024:** Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his emotional connection to the annual ‘Alai Balai’ program organized by the Governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatreya, at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds on Sunday. He credited the program for bringing people together during the Telangana movement and stated that it inspired the formation of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC).
“Before ‘Alai Balai,’ political leaders were conducting their separate programs,” said Reddy, highlighting the unifying role of the event. He praised the program as a strong representation of Telangana’s culture and thanked Governor Dattatreya for his dedication in keeping the tradition alive for the past 19 years.
The ‘Alai Balai’ program, which witnessed a large turnout, attracted prominent figures from various political parties, including former Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Telangana Governor B. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, MP Lakshman, and leaders from the Congress, BJP, and BRS. Cultural performances were a key highlight of the event.
Venkaiah Naidu, in his address, emphasized the importance of social responsibility and the need for unity among different communities. He stressed that festivals serve not only religious purposes but also promote social cohesion.
