Sat Oct 12 15:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Herbstreit To Skip Part of College GameDay for Red River Rivalry

**Eugene, OR** – ESPN’s College GameDay is heading to Eugene, Oregon this weekend for the highly anticipated clash between the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 3 Oregon Ducks. However, analyst Kirk Herbstreit will be leaving the set early to head to the Red River Rivalry in Dallas.

Herbstreit, who also provides commentary for ESPN, will be on the call for the No. 1 Texas Longhorns vs. No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners game. To make it in time for the 3:30 PM kickoff, he will be leaving College GameDay about an hour early.

“Ironically, Chris [Fowler], I’m leaving GameDay like an hour early, in the middle of the show,” Herbstreit said. “I’m going to have to make it because our OU-Texas game starts at 3:30. So I’m going to leave GameDay and hopefully make it.”

This season, the College GameDay crew has already traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Georgia-Alabama game and to Berkeley, California for the Miami-California matchup.

While the Ohio State-Oregon and Texas-Oklahoma games are the main attractions this week, there are plenty of other exciting matchups to watch, including South Carolina at Alabama, Penn State at USC, Ole Miss at LSU, and Kansas State at Colorado.
