**New Delhi:** In a move to support its employees, the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced an advance payment of the Productivity-Linked Bonus (PLB) for eligible Group C and Group B (Non-Gazetted) employees. The advance payment, equivalent to 60 days’ salary, will be credited to employee accounts before October 11, 2024, coinciding with the upcoming Dussehra festival.
The decision aims to provide financial assistance to employees during the festive season. This advance payment is part of the PLB for the financial year 2023-24, with each eligible employee receiving up to INR 13,816.
The EPFO has instructed all concerned departments to complete the disbursement process before the deadline and to submit detailed reports on the number of employees and the total amount disbursed. The advance payment will be deducted from the total PLB allocated for the year and will be subject to the same terms and conditions governing the final bonus disbursement.
The advance payment is a welcome move for employees who can now benefit from the bonus payment before the festive season.
