**Chennai:** Petrol and diesel prices in India have remained unchanged for the 208th consecutive day, despite fluctuating global crude oil prices. As of today, a litre of petrol costs ₹100.75 and diesel is priced at ₹92.34.

**New ECR Bus Service for Mayiladuthurai:** A new government bus service has been launched connecting Mayiladuthurai to Chennai via the East Coast Road (ECR). The bus departs Mayiladuthurai at 10 pm and arrives in Chennai at 4:15 am. It leaves Chennai at 5 am and reaches Mayiladuthurai at 11 am.

**Train Services Disrupted After Train Accident Near Chennai:** Train traffic on the Chennai-Gummidipoondi route has been completely halted following a train accident near Kavarapettai. Several express trains including Trichy-Howrah, Ernakulam-Tatanagar, and Kakinada-Danbad have been diverted to alternative routes.

Passengers from Kavarapettai are being taken to Chennai Central by electric train. A special train has been arranged for passengers going to Darbhanga from Chennai Central, with water and other necessities being provided.

**Minister Nasser** informed that 19 people have been hospitalized following the accident, with 3 suffering from fractures and 16 sustaining minor injuries.

**Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary, Mr. Muruganandam** stated that there have been no fatalities reported so far, but 5 people have been injured. He further added that Chief Minister MK Stalin has ordered all necessary medical and other facilities for the victims.

**Southern Railway officials** have confirmed that there were no casualties in the train accident.
