Thu Oct 10 20:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Frp Continues to Rise in Polls, While Labour Party Shows Mixed Results

**Oslo, Norway** – The Progress Party (Frp) has continued its upward trend in recent polls, according to two separate surveys conducted by Opinion for FriFagbevegelse and Dagsavisen, and Verian for TV2. The Frp gained 2.3 percentage points to 22.5% in the Opinion poll, and 1 percentage point to 17.9% in the Verian poll, marking its highest score in the latter for 6.5 years.

This strong performance sees Frp overtaking Høyre as the largest party in the Norwegian parliament, holding 41 seats compared to Høyre’s 40. These results further solidify Frp’s recent rise, with its average poll rating climbing nearly 6 percentage points since January.

The polls also reflect the declining popularity of the Center Party (Sp), which dropped 0.5 percentage points to 5.7% in the Verian poll and 1.1 percentage points to 4.9% in the Opinion poll.

The Labour Party (Ap) showed mixed results across the two polls. While the Opinion poll saw Ap decline by 2.1 percentage points to 18%, the Verian poll showed a significant increase of 3.6 percentage points, bringing them to 22.2%. This change is the only one in the Verian poll that falls outside the margin of error.

Another notable change was seen in the Christian Democratic Party (KrF), which saw a 2.3 percentage point increase in the Opinion poll, reaching a support of 4.3%. This gain is also outside the margin of error.

The Opinion poll, conducted between October 1st and 7th, surveyed 1000 individuals with a margin of error ranging from 1.4% to 3.1%. The Verian poll, conducted between September 30th and October 4th, surveyed 1000 individuals with a margin of error ranging from 1.4% to 2.8%.
