Trump reminisced about the iconic “Howdy, Modi” event in Houston, Texas in 2019, where he and Modi addressed a crowd of 80,000 Indian-Americans. He described the event as “beautiful” and “crazy,” emphasizing the large turnout and their joint walk through the crowd.

Trump also recalled a conversation with Modi regarding tensions with Pakistan, stating that he offered help but Modi responded by saying he would “handle it” and had “defeated them for hundreds of years.”

The two leaders are known to share a close relationship. Modi has described Trump as a “true friend,” while Trump has consistently applauded Modi’s leadership and personality. Their relationship has manifested in large public events like the “Namaste Trump” rally in Ahmedabad, India, which drew over 100,000 attendees.

Despite Trump’s recent statement that he would meet Modi during his visit for the Quad Summit, the meeting did not occur.
