Fri Oct 11 13:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Boozer Twins Commit to Duke, Following in Father’s Footsteps
**MIAMI, FL -** Five-star brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer, the sons of two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, announced their commitment to Duke University on Friday. The twins, who have been dominating the high school basketball scene, chose the Blue Devils over Miami, after taking visits to Duke, Miami, and Florida.
“I’m proud of them,” Carlos Boozer told ESPN. “They’ve worked their butts off for this moment. Really excited that they took their time. Decided to play together in college, which is amazing. They both complement each other so well. They made the best decision for them. Me and Mom couldn’t be any prouder. It’s going to be a fun journey.”
Cameron, a 6-foot-9 power forward, is ranked No. 2 in the ESPN 100 and has been considered one of the top prospects in high school basketball. He has a stellar record with two gold medals in USA Basketball, MVP awards at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship and FIBA U17 World Cup, and a dominant performance on the EYBL circuit.
Cayden, a 6-foot-5 point guard, is ranked No. 17 in the ESPN 100 and is known for his exceptional passing abilities, leading the EYBL circuit in assists. He has also achieved two gold medals with USA Basketball and showcases a strong scoring ability.
The brothers, who have been playing together at Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, have formed a formidable duo, winning three straight Florida state championships.
“Cameron Boozer is the most fundamentally sound player in high school basketball,” said a scout. “He projects as a future high lottery pick in 2026.”
“Cayden Boozer is a trustworthy point guard who is projected to be a first-round draft pick,” another scout added.
With the Boozer twins committing to Duke, the Blue Devils have secured their first two recruits in the 2025 class. The twins become the ninth and tenth five-star prospects to commit to Duke since Jon Scheyer replaced Mike Krzyzewski in 2021.
