Thu Oct 10 20:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Haaland Breaks Norwegian Record, Surpasses Juve’s 90-Year-Old Milestone

**Oslo, Norway -** Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has etched his name into Norwegian football history, becoming the country’s all-time leading goalscorer. Haaland achieved the feat with a brace in Norway’s Nations League clash against Slovenia, bringing his international tally to 34 goals in just 36 appearances.

Haaland surpassed the previous record held by Jorgen Juve, who held the title for over 90 years. Juve scored his last goal for Norway in 1934 and held the record for the longest-standing record of any FIFA-affiliated nation.

Haaland’s first goal against Slovenia came in the 7th minute after a superb save by Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak. The rebound fell to the unmarked Haaland who smashed the ball into the back of the net. His second goal, coming just after the hour mark, was a deft finish into the bottom corner after being set up by Alexander Sorloth.

This latest record-breaking achievement adds to Haaland’s already impressive list of milestones this season. He shattered the Premier League record for most goals scored in the first three games of a season with seven. He also eclipsed Newcastle legend Micky Quinn’s 22-year-old record for the fastest player to reach ten Premier League goals.

Haaland’s prolific goalscoring has catapulted him to the top of Norway’s all-time goalscorers, cementing his status as one of the most lethal strikers in the world. At just 24 years old, it’s a feat that promises more record-breaking moments in the years to come.
