An Air India flight from Trichy to Sharjah was forced to circle in the air for over two and a half hours after experiencing a technical malfunction before making a safe landing back in Trichy. The Boeing aircraft, flight AXB613, was en route to Sharjah when it encountered a hydraulic failure. The flight departed Trichy at 5:40 PM and finally landed back at the airport at 8:15 PM.

Upon the detection of the technical problem, Trichy airport issued a high alert, mobilizing 20 ambulances and 18 fire engines. The aircraft circled in the air to burn off fuel before landing. The flight was carrying 141 passengers, most of whom were Tamil Nadu residents.

The incident caused considerable anxiety for passengers and airport authorities. Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely and there were no injuries reported. The incident has prompted an investigation into the cause of the hydraulic failure.
