Fri Oct 11 15:32:55 UTC 2024: ## Air India Flight From Trichy to Sharjah Faces Technical Issue, Circles in Airspace to Burn Fuel
**Trichy, India:** An Air India flight bound for Sharjah, UAE from Trichy, India, experienced a technical malfunction today, forcing the pilot to circle in the air for over an hour. The issue, reportedly a hydraulic failure, prevented the aircraft’s landing gear from deploying.
The flight, which departed at 5:40 PM, has been circling over Trichy Airport to burn off fuel before a safe landing. This decision was made as a precautionary measure due to the inability to land with the faulty landing gear.
Authorities at Trichy Airport have assured passengers and the public that necessary safety measures have been taken. Over 20 ambulances and fire trucks have been deployed to the airport in anticipation of the landing.
Airport Director, Gopalakrishnan, has confirmed that all emergency procedures have been activated to ensure the safe landing of the aircraft. The plane, carrying 141 passengers, is expected to land soon.
