**Ramganjmandi:** Service Bharati, a social organization, organized a mass girl child worship program on Sunday as part of the ongoing Navratri festivities. The event was held at the Shri Naharsingh Mata Temple in Kumhar Mohalla, where over 150 girls were honored with traditional rituals, including foot washing, tika (forehead mark), and the tying of kalava (sacred thread). They were also offered a grand feast.
The program was graced by the presence of Chittoragarh Provincial Minister Gopi Raj Soni, who emphasized the importance of worshipping the Goddess of power for achieving wealth and prosperity. DSP Prabhulaal Kumawat, the presiding officer, highlighted the significance of Navratri for personal well-being and urged everyone to actively combat societal evils like female foeticide.
The event was inaugurated by lighting the divine lamp in the presence of guest speakers including Rakesh Meena and Pankaj Kumar. The program was presided over by DSP Prabhulaal Kumawat, while the welcome speech was given by the organization’s vice-president, Sureshchandra Gaud. Anju Kanwar enthralled the audience with her beautiful bhajan (devotional song) performance, which was accompanied by Lavanya Nayak’s graceful dance.
In another program organized by Service Bharati in the city, the event was attended by college assistant professor Pawan Kumar Sharma as the chief guest. The program was chaired by Kumhkot principal Kailashchand Merot. The main speaker, Girijesh Vaishnav, the block president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, provided insights into the various projects undertaken by Service Bharati across the country, encompassing education, healthcare, child development, self-reliance, environmental protection, family awareness, harmony, and national building.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Vijay Kumar Shah, the city president of the organization. The chairman of the program, Merot, emphasized the importance of preventing female infanticide and promoting girls’ education. Mahesh Sharma also shared valuable information about upholding one’s language, culture, and character development.
