Fri Oct 11 00:49:01 UTC 2024: ## Delhi Government Increases MLA Fund to a Record Rs 15 Crore

**New Delhi, October 10, 2024:** The Delhi government has announced a significant increase in the MLA fund, setting a new benchmark across India. The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Atishi, who revealed the news to reporters.

The MLA fund has been raised from Rs 10 crore to Rs 15 crore per year, making it the highest allocation for any state in the country. This move puts Delhi’s elected representatives in a unique position, with significantly higher resources compared to their counterparts in other states.

“No other state in the country provides such a high MLA fund,” said Chief Minister Atishi. She cited examples of other states, including Gujarat (Rs 1.5 crore), Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka (Rs 2 crore), Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh (Rs 3 crore), and Maharashtra, Kerala, Jharkhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand (Rs 5 crore).

Atishi reassured the public that the Delhi government remains committed to serving the people. She also addressed criticisms from the opposition, pointing out that the BJP, which governs 22 states, has failed to produce positive results, while Delhi’s government has a clear record of success.
