**KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2** – Kuwait’s national soccer team is bracing for a tough match against Oman on Thursday in Muscat, as the Blues face off in the third round of Group Two qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Kuwait’s manager, Abdulrahman Al-Mousa, characterized the encounter as “difficult” considering Oman’s losses in the first two qualifying rounds. He emphasized that Oman will be desperate for a win and will put forth their best effort, prompting the Blues to prepare accordingly.
“We are fully aware that Oman will be fighting hard,” Al-Mousa said. “We need to be mentally and physically ready for a challenging match.”
The Blues are coming off successful performances in the first two rounds, having defeated both Jordan and Iraq. Manager Al-Mousa praised the new technical staff, led by Argentine coach Juan Pizzi, for making notable improvements in a short time.
“Pizzi has been sharing his strategies with the players during daily training sessions,” Al-Mousa noted. “We are confident in our preparation and are ready to face this challenge.”
Meanwhile, Kuwait Club players are set to join the Blues’ training camp in Dubai today, following their participation in the AFC Champions League qualifiers. The national team continues its daily training regimen with morning workouts and evening sessions at the Police Officers Club Stadium.
