**Athens, Greece** – George Baldock, a former Premier League defender who recently joined Panathinaikos, was found dead on Wednesday at his home in Glyfada, a southern suburb of Athens. The 31-year-old British-born player, who had Greek ancestry and represented the country 12 times, was discovered in his swimming pool.

Police sources confirmed the tragic news, stating that the cause of death remains unknown. Despite attempts at cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Baldock could not be revived.
