Ewan McGregor, the beloved star of Disney+’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series, has hinted at a potential second season during a recent appearance at Los Angeles Comic Con. While a formal announcement has yet to be made by Disney+, McGregor reportedly revealed that ideas for Season 2 are being explored.
The first season, which aired in 2022, proved to be a major hit for Disney+, becoming the most-streamed show in the US during its run. The finale alone attracted 1.8 million viewers, cementing the series’ popularity. McGregor’s performance was particularly praised by critics, adding to the calls for a sequel.
McGregor himself has expressed his enthusiasm for returning to the role, even suggesting he’d like to wear the Clone Wars armor and explore more flashbacks with Hayden Christensen, who reprised his role as Darth Vader in the first season.
