**New Delhi, October 1, 2023:** With the festive season in full swing, major automobile manufacturers in India are pulling out all the stops to boost sales with attractive discounts and offers on a wide range of vehicles. This comes after a lull in sales following the post-pandemic surge in demand.
Carmakers are hoping to capitalize on the traditional festive boost, particularly during Diwali, which is expected to see an even higher demand.
**Maruti Suzuki**, the leading car manufacturer, is offering significant discounts across its portfolio, including up to Rs. 40,000 on models like the Alto K10 and S-Presso. The WagonR is available with discounts ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000, while the Brezza and Swift are attracting buyers with Rs. 10,000 discounts. The company is even offering a whopping Rs. 2.5 lakh discount on its popular Jimny SUV.
**Hyundai** is also joining the festive bonanza, offering discounts of up to Rs. 35,000 on the Grand i10 Nios, Rs. 30,000 on the Aura sedan, and Rs. 45,000 on the Venue SUV. Premium models like the Tucson and Kona EV are being offered with discounts up to Rs. 2 lakh.
**Mahindra & Mahindra** has increased discounts on the popular Scorpio SUV from Rs. 20,271 to Rs. 1 lakh. The Thar SUV is also seeing a price cut of Rs. 1.5 lakh, up from Rs. 20,000.
**Honda** has increased discounts on the Amaze from Rs. 96,000 to Rs. 112,000, while the City is available with an increased discount of Rs. 114,000 (up from Rs. 88,000). The Elevate SUV is being offered with a discount of Rs. 75,000, an increase of Rs. 10,000 from the previous offer.
**Tata Motors**, not to be outdone, has announced discounts up to Rs. 3 lakh on its electric vehicles (EVs) and benefits worth Rs. 2.03 lakh on petrol, diesel, and CNG models. These offers are valid until October 31st.
Luxury car manufacturers like **Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz** are also anticipating strong festive demand and are likely to introduce their own attractive offers to capture the market.
This festive season promises a surge in car sales as Indians take advantage of lucrative discounts and look to upgrade their vehicles. The festive season typically accounts for 30-40% of annual car sales.
