Wed Oct 09 01:26:49 UTC 2024: ## BJP Sweeps Haryana Assembly Elections, Yogi’s Campaign Seen as Decisive Factor

**Lucknow, India:** The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a historic victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, winning a third consecutive term. The victory has been attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pro-people policies, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s competent leadership, and the strength of the BJP’s double-engine government.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, who actively campaigned in Haryana, is credited with playing a significant role in the BJP’s triumph. His “Kattoge Toh Battoge” (You will cut if you divide) slogan, which emphasized Hindu unity, is believed to have resonated with voters. Adityanath’s charisma and campaigning prowess appear to have been crucial in securing victory for BJP candidates, particularly in the 20 seats he campaigned in.

Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brijesh Pathak, also played a crucial role in the campaign, dedicating around 10 days to campaigning in Haryana. Uttar Pradesh’s Transport Minister, Dayashankar Singh, was also heavily involved in managing the campaign and uniting party workers.

The BJP victory has been celebrated with much enthusiasm in Lucknow, where party leaders celebrated with sweets and expressed confidence in their future prospects. Notably, the party used the controversial “jalebi” issue, raised by Rahul Gandhi during his campaign, to their advantage.

While BJP leaders credited the victory to their policies and campaigning, they also expressed disappointment with the Congress party’s tactics, accusing them of spreading misinformation and misleading voters.

The BJP’s victory in Haryana is seen as a major boost for the party ahead of the 2024 national elections.
