South Africa, who won the toss and opted to bat, struggled to score freely, managing only 124/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Laura Wolvaardt top-scored for the Proteas with 42 runs (39 balls, 3 fours), while Marizanne Kapp chipped in with 26 runs.
