Mon Oct 07 23:34:27 UTC 2024: ## Lofoten Links: Golfers Brave Arctic Conditions for Charity

**LOFOTEN, NORWAY** – A group of eight amateur golfers have completed a grueling 24-hour golf marathon at Lofoten Links, located within the Arctic Circle, to raise funds for Paragolfers, a specialized vehicle that helps people with impaired mobility play golf.

The event, which took place in June, saw the golfers endure challenging weather conditions, with rain falling for 22 out of the 24 hours and a biting wind. Despite the harsh environment, they managed to play throughout the day and night, each clocking a minimum of 50,000 steps.

Their perseverance paid off, as the golfers successfully raised enough money to purchase two Paragolfers.

“It was a tough challenge,” said one of the golfers, “but we were determined to raise funds for such a worthy cause. We’re all proud to have contributed to making golf more accessible for people with disabilities.”
