Haryana is witnessing a nail-biting finish in the Assembly Elections, with the BJP currently leading with 46 seats, while the Congress is close behind with 38. The initial trend showed Congress with a strong lead, securing 63 seats while BJP was limited to 23. However, BJP managed to bounce back significantly, making the race for the government very close.
The INLD secured 3 seats and others 3, while AAP failed to open its account in the state.
Notable wins include Congress candidate and Indian star wrestler, Vinesh Phogat, leading in the Julana constituency. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is also leading in Ladwa.
The elections, held on October 5th, saw a 67.09% voter turnout. The magic number for forming the government is 46. A total of 1031 candidates contested the elections.
