Faridabad, Haryana: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a dominant victory in the Faridabad district, winning all six assembly constituencies in the Haryana Assembly elections.
The district, a crucial political hub, witnessed a fierce contest between the BJP and the Indian National Congress. While the BJP’s Vipul Goyal secured a victory in the Faridabad constituency, defeating Lakhan Kumar Singla of the Congress, the BJP’s strong performance extended across the district.
Other key wins for the BJP include Mool Chand Sharma in Ballabgarh, Dhanesh Adlakha in Badkhal, Satish Kumar Phagna in Faridabad NIT, and Rajesh Nagar in Tigaon. The Congress managed to secure only one seat in the district, with Raghubir Tewatia winning in Prithla.
The Faridabad district, strategically located along the Delhi-Mathura-Agra National Highway 44, is a significant economic and political center in Haryana. The district comprises six key constituencies, including Prithla, Faridabad NT, Badkhal, Ballabgarh, Faridabad, and Tigaon. The results highlight the BJP’s strong hold in the region and the Congress’s dwindling influence.
These elections saw a diverse array of candidates vying for power, including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and athlete-turned-politician Vinesh Phogat. However, it was the BJP’s strong organizational structure and campaign strategy that proved successful in securing a decisive victory in Faridabad.
