Batting first, Ireland put up a formidable total of 284 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Paul Stirling, the opening batsman, led the charge with a brilliant 88 runs. Harry Tector played a crucial anchor role, scoring a half-century (60 runs).
