**Kochi:** Kochi police are set to question film stars Sreenath Bhasi and Prayaga Martin in connection with a drug case against notorious gangster Om Prakash. The police have taken into custody Binu Joseph, an Elumkara native, who allegedly brought the actors to Om Prakash’s hotel room.
Binu Joseph is believed to be a key figure in the Kochi drug trade. The police are investigating whether the stars’ visit to Om Prakash’s room was related to drug activities.
Om Prakash was granted bail by the Ernakulam magistrate court earlier, as police failed to prove cocaine use. However, he was arrested again yesterday by Kochi Maradu police from a luxury hotel where he was attending a DJ event in Bolgatty. Cocaine was recovered from Shihas, who was apprehended with Om Prakash. The arrest was made on charges of possession of narcotics.
During questioning, Om Prakash initially refused to disclose any further details about visitors to his room. However, the police later confirmed that Sreenath Bhasi and Prayaga Martin had visited his room based on CCTV footage and hotel registration records. Sources reveal that around 20 people visited the room in total.
The police are currently investigating the extent of the actors’ involvement in the drug case.
