Sun Oct 06 13:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Prince Harry Makes Solo Trip to Africa to Highlight Pre-Megxit Charity Work

**LONDON -** Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths has suggested that Prince Harry’s recent solo trip to Africa is a deliberate attempt to remind the public of his charitable work and identity before his departure from royal duties.

Harry, who co-founded the Sentebale charity in 2006, traveled to Lesotho this week to fulfill responsibilities for the organization, which supports children affected by HIV/AIDS. Notably, his wife, Meghan Markle, did not accompany him.

Griffiths, speaking on GB News, pointed out that Harry’s return to Lesotho, where he hadn’t been for years, was a strategic move. “It would have been the classic thing for Meghan to be meeting the children,” she said. “It’s amazing she wasn’t there. But I think it’s very deliberate.”

She added that Harry’s absence from the public eye since stepping back from royal duties has allowed him to “remind us all that he started this incredible children’s charity in Africa for children who were born with AIDS.” Griffiths believes Harry wants to emphasize his pre-Megxit identity as a “good guy” who was passionate about helping children.

It is speculated that Harry and Meghan may have made the decision together to keep her out of the trip to avoid the media frenzy often accompanying their joint appearances.
