**Kochi:** Police are investigating the presence of Malayalam film stars, **Shine Tom Chacko** and **Prayaga Martin**, at a luxury hotel in Maradu where arrested gangster K.K. Omprakash was staying. This revelation came to light in a police custody application filed in connection with an investigation into drug use and trafficking.
The police report alleges that the actors, along with several other individuals, visited Omprakash and his associate, Kollam native Shihas, at the hotel. They are suspected to have been involved in drug dealing and were apprehended on Sunday after police received information about their activities.
The police seized over four liters of alcohol and traces of cocaine from the hotel room booked under the name of Bobby Chalapathy. The incident is suspected to have occurred during a DJ party attended by several individuals, including the actors, at the hotel on Saturday. The police are investigating if drugs were used during the party.
While the actors are yet to be questioned, the police have collected blood samples from Omprakash and Shihas to determine if they were under the influence of drugs. The duo, who were granted bail by the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court despite police objections, have been accused in over 30 cases, including the murder of industrialist Paul Muthoot.
The police are further investigating the DJ party and the nature of the seized drugs. Kochi DCP K.S. Sudarshan has stated that the actors will be questioned once further evidence is obtained.
