**Chennai, India:** The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to put on a grand air show at Marina Beach on October 6th, aiming for a Limca Book of Records entry ahead of its 92nd Air Force Day celebrations. The event will showcase the IAF’s strength and capabilities to a large gathering of spectators, estimated to be between 10 and 12 lakhs.

The air show will feature a breathtaking flypast with 72 aircraft from 22 categories, including iconic fighter jets like the Su-30, MiG-29, and Jaguars, along with helicopters like the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Mk4. Adding a unique touch, the Navy’s P8I and the vintage Dakota will also participate.

Spectators will be treated to thrilling aerobatics by the IAF’s Surya Kiran and Sarang teams, and will witness iconic formations like Arrowhead, Trishul, and Rudra. The two-hour event will culminate with aerial drills and formations such as Sagar, Akash, and Dhwaj.

The IAF will celebrate Air Force Day on October 8th at Tambaram Air Force Station under the theme “Bharatiya Vayusena: Saksham, Sashakt aur Aatmnirbhar” (Indian Air Force: Potent, Strong, and Self-reliant). The celebrations will highlight the IAF’s commitment to national security, self-reliance, and modernization, showcasing India’s growing air defence capabilities.
