**New Delhi, India** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday released the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, transferring a total of Rs 20,000 crore to the bank accounts of 9.4 crore farmers across the country. This release brings the total amount distributed under the scheme to a staggering Rs 3.45 lakh crore.

The PM-KISAN scheme, launched in 2019, provides eligible farmers with an annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000, disbursed in three installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

During his one-day visit to Maharashtra, PM Modi emphasized the significance of the scheme in empowering farmers and bolstering the agricultural sector. He lauded the scheme as the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer program, reaching millions of farmers across India.

Farmers are required to complete their e-KYC to receive the installments. The e-KYC can be done through the PMKISAN portal or at nearby CSC centers.

**To check beneficiary status, farmers can follow these steps:**

1. Visit the official website – pmkisan.gov.in.
2. Click on the “Know Your Status” tab.
3. Enter your registration number and captcha code.
4. Click on “Get Data.”

**Farmers can also check their names in the beneficiary list by:**

1. Visiting the PM Kisan official website – http://www.pmkisan.gov.in.
2. Clicking on the “Beneficiary list” tab.
3. Selecting state, district, sub-district, block, and village from the drop-down menus.
4. Clicking on the “Get report” tab.
