**Washim, Maharashtra:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, October 5, 2024, released the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, benefitting over 9.4 crore farmers across the nation. This installment, amounting to ₹20,000 crore, saw each eligible farmer receive ₹2,000 directly into their bank accounts.

This latest disbursement marks a significant increase in beneficiaries compared to the previous installment released on June 18, 2024, which saw 9.25 crore farmers receiving the payment. This time, an additional 25 lakh farmers have been included in the beneficiary list.

The PM-KISAN scheme, the world’s largest direct benefit transfer scheme, provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers owning up to 2 hectares of land. Farmers receive a total of ₹6,000 annually, disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.

Farmers can easily check their eligibility and confirm their enrollment in the scheme by following these simple steps:

1. Visit the official PM Kisan Yojana website: pmkisan.gov.in
2. Go to the Farmers Corner section
3. Click on the Beneficiary Status link
4. Enter your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number
5. The payment status will appear on the screen.

**Upcoming Installment:**

While the 18th installment has been disbursed, farmers are eagerly awaiting the 19th installment date. The exact date is yet to be announced, but farmers can stay updated by checking the official PM-KISAN website.
