**Chennai, October 5, 2024:** All-rounder Shivam Dube has been ruled out of India’s upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh due to a back injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday that Tilak Varma will replace Dube in the squad.
Varma will join the team in Gwalior on Sunday morning, just ahead of the first T20I match scheduled for the same day.
The Indian team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav for the series.
Dube’s absence is a blow to the Indian team, but Varma’s inclusion provides a promising opportunity for the young batsman to showcase his skills on the international stage.
